Germ-Fighting DIY Foaming Hand Soap

We love our DIY foaming hand soap with essential oils! This recipe is easy-to-make and take less than 5 minutes! 

We love it because we know our family is actually cleaning off all the germs from wherever those nasty hands were before they got home!

Having a lot of kids in your home during the winter flu season means there are all kind of germs in your home!

That’s why hand washing is soooo important in keeping us healthy! Our kids know that as soon as they get home from school, they must wash their hands!

The thing is, most kids find it a chore but this DIY foaming hand soap recipe with essential oils makes it fun for them so they LOVE washing their hands!

Even better, if your kids are old enough and into science experiments, have them mix together this foaming hand soap recipe and they’ll see how cool it is!

Half of the time, I don’t even need to remind my kids to wash their hands because they like it so much!

I usually need to tell them they’ve washed enough and to get out of the bathroom and come do your homework instead!

DIY Foaming Hand Soap Recipe With Essential Oils

You will need one of these foaming hand soap dispensers.

I saved a bunch of foaming hand soap dispensers from when I bought them filled at the store and just rinsed them out.

•  1 empty soap dispenser
•  2 Tablespoons of Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap
•  1 teaspoon of coconut oil (this helps to soften hands)
•  8-10 drops of Thieves essential oil or try this immune boosting essential oil you can get on Amazon

You can either use Thieves or we also love Revive essential oils as well:

There are so many other things you can do and clean with this all natural soap! It’s totally worth it and will save you a lot of money!

If you don’t have Thieves essential oil on hand, you can always add lemon, orange, lavender, peppermint, or purification oil!

All of these will help fight germs and they also smell great as well! Your kids will love to help you make it too!

Thieves essential oil

If you don’t know about Thieves essential oil, it is a staple in our home and one of the best oils you can buy!

Thieves Essential oil is a blend of Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus Radiata, and Rosemary essential oils.

These oils mixed together can help support a healthy immune system, clean and refresh your home, and also make it smell wonderful!
